With Mother's Day edging closer (Sunday 11th May) it's time to start looking for that perfect present your mum will love. When I'm shopping for presents for my mum, I love to go for clothes and accessories. They're exciting, they're fun, they're also return/exchange-able if they don't fit or suit. Unless your mum is a shopoholic, I think many mums out there don't go out shopping for themselves enough, so how about you get the job done for her :)
Above are some "types" of mums I've put together with individual pieces from Millers as gift ideas. It's almost crazy how affordable everything at this store is... you could shop her a whole new wardrobe for under $200!
GIVEAWAY
For your chance to win a Millers Mother's Day Gift Pack for your mum (or for any mums reading my blog!) valued at $50, comment on this post and describe your mum's style. Remember to leave your email so I can contact you if you win!
My mum's style is all about comfort and easy-to-wear fashion. I have always loved the fact that she doesn't follow trends, she just wears what SHE likes.
I asked Miss Seven which 'type' of mum I would be. Her suggestion is a lot of 'casual' with a splash of 'eclectic' tossed in, because you always need something purple in your wardrobe!
Casual would be the way to describe mum's style She's been wearing clothes for comfort for more than a while She prefers flowing skirts to pants or jeans And she wouldn't really know what trendy means! But I must say, she's always presentable and neat And for a woman her age, that is no mean feat!
My Mum looks stylish all the time no matter what she wears, she always looks great as she knows how to mix and match colours and fabrics, i hope i can look like her when i get older.:)
Casual, well maybe a bit too casual. Trackies and gumboots is all she wears on the farm. She's in desperate need of some new clothes. I didn't realize Millers had nice trendy clothes. This would make her Mother's Day special.
My mum is modern, classic and a trendy fashionista! I always looked to her for fashion inspiration, she makes style look easy, affordable and timeless. She would go mad in Millers, she loves it :)
My mum is mainly classic but she loves a bargain and adores going op shopping and get eclectic pieces. She doesn't follow the latest fashion trends but wears what suits her. jemmahansen@outlook.com
My Mum is definitely casual and comfy. She wears what she likes, and she wears it proudly! More to the point -- she always looks fabulous in her confidence!
My mum's style is classic with a touch of colour, she always adds a pop of colour to all her outfits, be it a pretty scarf, a bright colour handbag, or a statement jewellery. I hate to say it, but my mum is more fashionable than her daughters.
Mum's mantra - Comfort is key! A pair of slacks and a blouse is generally the basis of her wardrobe although she does tend to mix things up with accessories.
Classy (but with edge!) Always dresses to impress but dresses for the situation!! She stands out in the crowd but for all the right reasons! She certainly is my 'go-to' for fashion advice!!
My mom has a very simple yet comfortable style! She loves to wear nice knits with a pair of nice black pants or a long flowy skirt with a nice singlet and jacket. I guess I would call it casual chic!
She is a dag, she never spends money on herself always on others I try to buy her some nice pieces whenever I can afford she deserves so much more jessiejones50@hotmail.com
Having had five daughters, Mum left behind an eclectic legacy of pieces she'd accumulated over the years. My Mum-in-law, however, is a trend-setter and she'd be an appreciative recipient (as would my father-in-law) of a voucher that would possibly reduce the possibility of her exceeding her credit card limit (THIS month, anyway)! robandliv.johnstone@gmail.com
Though my mum is nearly 85 she loves to keep up with the recent trends, she is defiantly a trendy mum, nanna and great nanna. jenjapalmer1970@hotmail.com Jeanette Latter
My Mums style would be more like trendy because she loves her long dresses and before she goes out she has to have her going out clothes. But she spends more of her money on me and my brothers than herself and then the rest of her money usually goes to bills but she loves long dresses and in winter she loves to wear a nice shirt, with a really nice jacket and jeans or some nice comfy pants is more her style for winter.
Mum has recently started dialysis and spends hours each week hooked up to a machine lying in a hospital bed. She needs very comfortable and cosy clothes that she can lounge around in. She also gets incredibly cold during the treatment so needs very warm things. Id like her to have some nice fashionable comfortable daywear to keep her spirits up during her treatment
Mum's style is super trendy, She's waaaaay trendier than me, Sometimes I borrow her clothes But I just can't pull it off you see! billsmegan@hotmail.com
Would love to say my mum's style is trendy but she's totally casual... Though definitely not the stylish 'Casual' look shown above, more of a careless and daggy casual. (Sorry mum!). Her wardrobe is crazily outdated, I remember some of the clothes that she still wears today she wore when I was a little kid. My mum definitely needs (and deserves) a Millers makeover! :)
My Mum is Super hero Casual. With unexpected expenses and Dad's lost his job. Mum never expects anything and rarely ever gets mad. Spending no money on herself and rarely replacing her thread worn favourites. Thank you Millers for placing Mum first. I hope I can win this outfit especially for her. tarliasthe1@hotmail.com
judithperezbejar@gmail.com Classic, since she is always playing with my kids that is the perfect style that she adopts but always stylish and in comfort for hours of giggles and laughs with "abuela"

My mum's style is casual and comfortable. She's a homebody so doesn't get dressed up very often, and when she does it's more a case of adding accessories to dress up a simple outfit. A Miller's voucher would be a great gift for Mother's Day. anastasioulauren@gmail.com
Mum's style is immaculate with nothing out of place. And she achieves it on the small pension she gets. She deserves a medal for that. catielasi@live.com.au
my mum wear clothes that are too big for her. she likes red and she always looks nice but she hides behind baggy clothes. she needs to be proud of her body and not wear clothes too big for her
My mum is typically the casual jeans and tee type, however she likes to mix it up with a touch of class and sophistication on special occasions or just if it's been a while since she had the occasion to dress up. However, no matter what she is wearing, she is beautiful inside and out. higgsme@hotmail.com
Everything about my mum is totally classic... elegant, lifelong quality items make up her wardrobe - sometimes even more-than-one-lifelong as she has some beautiful handbags and jewellery passed down to her from the graceful women of her family. Add to this the glorious handmade knits she whips up like magic every Winter, and my mum is one well-dressed lady! :)
Thanks for the chance, it's my mum's birthday on Mother's Day this year so she would love this! everbloom36 (at) hotmail (dot) com
My mum is beautifully old school elegant, she wears peep toe heels with bows on the front, she also wears round neck tops made from silk and angora ! as we as fitted suits still at the age on 90 ! she also loves to wear the pale colours and still gets excited about getting dressed up ! even if it's for coffee and biscuits down the local shops !. di-50@hotmail.com
My mum's style is casual - and that is her attitude towards life - she is always there to help - When i got cancer, she stepped in and looked after my daughter and I, until i was able to step back up after recovery. My life would not be even half as good without her in it beside me.
Someone once told Mum that black is slimming, so she is now the quintessential Greek Mumma...much to Dad's disappointment...he longs to see her in floaty dresses and bright colours...but I hope he doesn't hold his breath while he waits!! LOL
My Mum's style is exactly as follows: skinny jeans (the strechy, comfy kind), and a loose-fitting tie dye top with minimal make-up and jewellery - and she rocks it! - Jess ordinarygirl298@gmail.com
