What's In My Make Up Bag

Today I thought I'd show you the make up I use on a daily basis and give a little review of each product. They're all linked below in case you're interested :)

 Primer
Nude By Nature Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer
Having sensitive skin, I'm quite careful with what products I buy so mineral makeup feels like a safe choice for me and Nude By Nature has become one of my favourite brands. All their products feel AND look so natural. This primer is really soft and glides on seamlessly creating the perfect base for my foundation.

 Foundation
Covergirl TruBlend - #1 Ivory
I have been using this foundation for so long because it suits my skin colour perfectly, to the point where it doesn't look like I have foundation on at all. It smooths out my skin and blends really well into the colour of my neck. I've been looking for a new foundation to try just for the sake of seeing if there's something better but the ones I've looked at don't seem to be of a light enough shade.

 Concealer
Maybelline SuperStay - Ivory
I bought this one recently because for a while I was trying Maybelline AgeRewind and it was slightly too warm for my skin tone. The SuperStay in Ivory is the lightest shade and creates a nice highlighted effect underneath and in the inner corners of my eyes where they are the darkest.

 Powder #1
Australis Pressed Powder - Natural
I have been through SO many of these and I won't be stopping any time soon. It's honestly one of the best powders to set foundation that I have tried. I wish there was a lighter shade as it probably darkens my face that tiny bit too much, but I just love the finishing effect and how soft and smooth it makes my skin. I always carry one of these in my bag for touch-ups and if I don't want to wear make up on the weekend I'll just dab a bit of this on my face to hide the redness.

 Powder #2
Face Of Australia Translucent Loose Powder
This is another recent buy to see if it would work better than my pressed powder. I think I'm so used to the full coverage of using both a foundation and pressed powder, so if I was to use this translucent powder more often I'd need two layers of foundation to make up for it, because really it's mainly for setting the face.

 Bronzer
Sportsgirl Bronze Me Bronzing Powder
I'm definitely in need of a new bronzer, I don't know how long I've had this one. But I like it for the fact that it's such a warm shade of brown that I don't need blush as well. My face is quite red throughout the day, I don't really know why. So for me using blush (at the moment) isn't a necessity. I just like that look of a healthy glow and this does it for me.

 Eyebrows
Natio Brow Kit
I love this kit, it's so easy to use and compact for travelling if you don't want to be carrying all of your make up brushes with you. I use the lighter shade on my brows to fill them in. You only need the tiniest amount of product on your brush and with both the angled brush, tweezers and brush wand you can groom and shape easily.

 Eyeliner
Maybelline Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
I love the dramatic line this liquid liner creates. It's a really easy thin brush/pen to use along my top lash line and creates a bold wing when I feel like doing something interesting with my eyes. It is quite a wet consistency so you do need to wait a few minutes for this one to dry, but once it does it's really long-lasting.

 Mascara
Lancome Hypnose Star - Noir Midnight
I only have a small sample size of this mascara but it's so good! May have to invest. It has a triangular-shaped wand which I feel lengthens and defines the outer lashes more than the inner to make your eye that much wider. It also works wonders on my lower lashes.

 Lips
Victoria's Secret Lacquer Gloss Lip Shine
My boyfriend brought a few of these back for me from America last year and this seems to be the one I use most. Just a simple clear shiny lip gloss that hydrates your lips (even if you're addicted to that damned red tube of pawpaw like me).

 Foundation Brush
EcoTools Custom Coverage Buffing Brush
This is the first makeup brush I ever bought and I loooove it. It's so soft and the perfect brush for buffing in foundation. When you're pushing against your skin every day with a particular brush I find it's really important to make sure the bristles aren't too harsh on your face.

 Other Brushes
Nude By Nature Brush Kit
I bought this brush set as not only was it very good value at the time, it had all the brushes I felt I needed as well. A good pack to buy if you're after the basics.
