Trying out new lip formulas is always interesting... I personally live with a red tube of Lucas Papaw by my side all day every day... can't live without it. So to find lip products that not only have great colour pay-off but are also moisturising is quite a plus for me. The products above were sent my way by Australis and as I do, I went swatching away to see which ones worked well for me.
I find a lot of moisturising lip products to be disappointing due to the colour gliding away into non-existance not long after I've applied it. The Colour Inject range by Australis is a nice change though. These moisturising mineral lipsticks are really creamy with a splash of colour which stays put while feeling like a balm. The shade "Ballet" is definitely a favourite - just a typical pretty pink.
I found the Go Long Longwear Lipsticks to be slightly tricky to apply due to the incredible matte application but once on the lips they sat comfortably and the colours really popped. Especially the shade "Uber Cool" which you would have seen in my summer favourites video. Such an amazing shade of purple. I can't seem to find it on the Australis website though which is a shame... I'm guessing it's an older release?
Velourlips Matte Lip Creams are raved about and the shade Mi-A-Mee was my first try of this hyped product. This lip cream has the most attractive finish to it. It's not as drying as I've heard some to say. I feel a matte effect can really enhance not only the colour of the lipstick but also the shape of your lips. This shade in particular is not one I'd go for myself but I definitely had fun trying it out.
If I had to recommend one of these formulas it would be Velourlips. I feel like it's the most unique and rewarding product if you're after something you don't already have in your collection.

I have been trying to decide whether to try the Velourlips or not as they do seem a bit drying, but they are so cheap it's hard to pass up!
