I'd seen some Eye Of Horus products floating around Youtube so I decided to give the brand a go myself. Originating from Byron Bay, I was really intrigued to see what the hype was about this Australian brand and now incorporating a few of these products into my every day routine, I've figured out.

Starting off with the fact that they're not tested on animals (always a winner), Eye Of Horus products are wax and oil based, paraben-free and great for sensitive eyes. They're inspired by formulas of Ancient Egyptians, quite evident as well through the shades, packaging and logo of the brand.

I tried the Dual Brow Perfect in Medium Brown first. Not only is it the perfect ashy brown shade for my brows, the product is really easy to work with as it features a slanted wind-up pencil, a similar shape to that of an angled brush. The waxy substance glides on in simple strokes to master the shape of the brow, then the gel on the opposite end of the product tints and sets the brow hairs in place.

Next the Maat Dark Temptress Palette was a simple mix of wearable (and super pigmented) eyeshadows. With one satin cream and two matte browns, a smokey eye with a hint of shimmer was made easy with this one palette.

Then onto the Liquid Define Liner in black. This was the product I was most eager to try as I've been on the lookout for a pen-style liner to create that perfect wing. It really surprised me, I didn't end up with a wobbly line across the eyelid for once. It was really smooth with a sharp point which finished off the flick of the wing perfectly.

Lastly the Mascara Goddess in black was an interesting one. The wand is quite flexible and the shape different to any mascara I've tried before. I found it was really good at darkening and lengthening the lashes, moreso than volumising. I find mascaras like these best for the lower lashes as it avoids any clumps and mistakes on one of the most visible parts of your eye.

I love the bronze, brown and golden shades Eye Of Horus has on offer along with punches of rich blues and purples. You can really create a stunning look with their products and if I had to recommend one only, the Liquid Liner is incredible.
