Just in time for the summer season, Australis have brought out a whole range of tanning products so you can take our sun with you and be golden all summer long! Perfect plan, right?

What's so great about this range are the formulations and the accessories available. Firstly you have the Chocolate Mousse, which can I just say smells literally like chocolate! None of that horrible tan smell thank goodness! It's the perfect colour for pale girls, you can see exactly where you've applied it and where to rub it in. You can choose the level of darkness by how long you leave it on before showering (only takes 1 to 3 hours!). Next up is the Purple Mousse, for all the girls out there who have an olive or European skin tone. Using this one will result in a rich chocolate dark tan, counteracting those orange tones found in medium/olive skin. Both tans are triple-moisturising with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and fruit extracts. Lastly there's no tanning love without an Australis glove! They've brought out the first ever micro-sponge tanning mitt in a 3-piece pack called No Glove, No Love. It includes a large mitt for your body, a small one for your face and an exfoliation mitt for the shower. The tanning mitt feels like a thick scuba suit and gets that tan on so smoothly without a single streak.

For those of you who've been following me for a while now, you'll know that I am hands down a "pale person". Even the lightest shades of foundation don't always cut it for me. It's been a few summers now since I've sat out in the sun for longer than 10 minutes, as my skin is quite freckly and I try to protect it as much as possible.

Along comes Australis Rapid Tan in the Chocolate Mousse version and I was like, "You know what? I'm going to give this a go". I want a change this summer. I want to be all bronzed and glowy. I've had some bad tanning experiences in the past but this might be different.

I used the Australis exfoliating mitt in the shower the night before and gave my legs a good scrub. The next day I put on the large glove, pumped some foamy mousse onto it and smoothed it over one leg at a time. It didn't freak me out at all. It blended in so quickly and was dry in no time. Smelt like chocolate, wasn't sticky whatsoever. I threw on an old tee dress and decided to push this tan to the limit, leaving it on for 3 hours to see how dark it would get. After only 3 hours (spent working at the computer) I had a quick shower to rinse it off and pat my skin dry with a towel.

My legs looked naturally tanned. No streaks, no patches, they were just a beautiful golden brown. I couldn't believe how fast and easy the process was and I went to bed that night, rest assured that tan wouldn't end up all over the sheets. How good is that!

After giving Rapid Tan a try I can safely say it is so much better than tans I've tried in the past. It doesn't smell nearly as bad and doesn't make me look orange at all. The coverage turned out so even and natural, and this formula worked perfectly on pale skin. I'm definitely making it part of my beauty routine this summer!
