Katy Perry's new 'Mad Love' perfume has rolled right into my perfume collection and it smells delish!
So sweet and fruity, this fragrance is topped with Pink Grapefruit, the note I always gravitate towards. It also includes notes of:
- Lady Apple Sorbet
- Mara Strawberry
- Peony Petals
- Sun-kissed Jasmine
- Bleeding Heart Flower
- Sandalwood
- Skin Musk
- Coconut Wood
The scent is quite soft, not one of those celebrity fragrances that overpowers an entire room. I have to lean into my wrist to pick it up, which I think is the best way for a perfume to be. Just subtle enough that anyone standing nearby knows you're there :)
I get a delicate hint of a sweet sherbet-type scent, which I can't imagine anyone not enjoying. It does fade after about 3-4 hours, so it's best for shopping trips, short gatherings or nights out. You could always pop a bottle in your work bag though!
I have to talk about the packaging... I don't think I've ever seen anything more 'me'. Blush pink, black print, with a marble-style bottle topper. Perfect, right? The bottle resembles a potion bottle, following on from Katy Perry's release of 'Mad Potion' last year. The marble topper comes off to reveal a silver spray pump, and the 100ml size fits nicely in the palm of your hand.
