Make A Statement With Scandinavian Design
If I had to choose a favourite interior design style it would definitely be Scandinavian.
I love how quirky and cute the decor is, never failing to make a place feel homely, spirited and loved. I wish my boyfriend liked it as much as me :/ (we had to compromise!)
With Scandi accessories you can mix simple black and white tones or you can add fun muted pastels with pops of copper. A rug with a block or striped print works perfectly and adding a bold round mirror to a room makes a statement instantly.
I particularly like the styles of lighting, with interesting shapes, geometrics and strong shades in chrome, wire and wood. Add to that simple light bulbs hanging from the ceiling creating mood and dimension within the space.
Wooden furniture is a key component of Scandinavian interiors. Natural shades of oak and walnut are found in whole pieces or in the legs of chairs and tables.
Interior Secrets is an Australian furniture and decor store with an incredible variety of modern-classic furnishings and home accessories including the ones shown above. I spent quite some time going through each page of the site because I couldn't believe how many items they stocked that I would add to my bedroom, living room and office right this second.
The marble clock is an absolute favourite. I need that in my life! I've been looking for the perfect one for ages.
