A new release to Australia this year is Le Vernis A L'Huile (The Oil Varnish) collection by L'Oreal Paris. The brand has launched 20 stunning shades of polish with intense colour, rich oil and high shine.
These polishes are the first from L'Oreal to include a special blend of precious oils, producing intense colour and shine in one stroke. Application is smoother while nourishing the nails and resulting in a shiny, lustrous finish.
Each bottle is luxurious enough as it is, with a beautiful golden lid and embossed glass holding the 13.5mL of product. They're much larger than the previous 5mL polishes by L'Oreal and at $9.95, the perfect price.
The colour range includes shades appropriate for seasons all year round, from light pastels through to deep, desirable hues. My favourite has to be the pale pink called 220 Dimanche Apres-Midi (meaning "Sunday Afternoon").
I do feel like this collection is without fail, very Parisian-chic. The colours are stylish and sophisticated, with not one shade looking out-of-place. The selection of reds are incredible. There is a beautiful dusty rose, a brilliantly bright coral red, as well as others that are deeper and just so classic.
I do find with L'Oreal polishes, particularly the lighter shades, you need several coats to achieve a solid opaque colour. However, once applied, the finish is beautiful. The brush of this particular bottle is wide, with over 400 bristles to assist in a precise, even and fast application. I found the polish dries evenly and quickly, making it easy to continue layering it up with no troubles.
The polishes are scented with what I can only call L'Oreal's typical scent. It's much like the scent of the La Vie En Rose lipstick collection, which I find really pleasant, floral and pretty.
If you were to try one, which colour would you go for?
I actually have to revamp my nail polish collection and all of these colors are stunning. Will definitely have to check it out! Thanks!
